Welcome to Veritas Social. By accessing or using our web and mobile services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Veritas Social, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to features you use. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Veritas Social. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and truthful information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Spam, phish, or send unsolicited messages
  • Upload viruses or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users

5. Content You Share

You retain ownership of content you post on Veritas Social. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content in connection with operating and improving our services.

6. Translation Services

We provide translation features as a convenience. While we strive for accuracy, translations are provided "as is" and we do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERITAS SOCIAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

11. Exam App Subscriptions & Billing

Exam App offers paid subscriptions for premium features. Pricing and available plans are shown in-app and may vary by platform or region.

  • In-app purchases: Subscriptions purchased in the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google and subject to their terms.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Web payments: Where available, web subscriptions are billed by Paystack and subject to Paystack terms and policies.
  • No lifetime plan: We do not offer a lifetime subscription for Exam App.

If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

12. Refunds

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies. For web purchases (Paystack), refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis where permitted by law and the payment provider.

13. Vers (Gamification System)

Veritas Social employs a gamification system known as "Vers." These are virtual tokens used solely for recognition and to unlock specific features within the Veritas Social platform.

Important Limitations:

  • Vers have no real-world monetary value.
  • Vers cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for real money or any other currency.
  • Vers are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between accounts.
  • Vers are for gamification and community recognition purposes only.

14. Location Data & Security

To protect your account, we may request access to your device's location. This data is used exclusively for security purposes, such as detecting suspicious login attempts from unrecognized locations. We do not track your real-time location for any other purpose, and this data is never shared with third parties.
